Jared Stanley is the author of two collections of poetry, The Weeds and Book Made of Forest, both from Salt Publishing, as well as five chapbooks and pamphlets, including the forthcoming Oaths of the Blossoms (Triple Canopy); he is at work on a third collection, Ears. His poems have been published in journals big and small, in both the United States and in Great Britain, and he has read his poetry all across the country, in bars, at universities, in churches, bookstores and living rooms. In addition to poetry, Stanley works as an interdisciplinary environmental artist, making work that incorporates poetry, technology, and sculpture, and which tries to understand how language operates in landscapes. He is a 2012-2014 Research Fellow at the Center for Art + Environment at the Nevada Museum of Art and teaches at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village. Stanley lives in Reno.
