The Artist Fellowship Program encourages the pursuit of artistic excellence and provides financial support to Nevada meritorious artists for career advancement. On June 13, 2013, the Nevada Arts Council Board awarded six FY14 Artist Fellowships of $5,000: two each in Literary Arts, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. In addition to using the grant award to produce art during the fellowship year, each fellow provides a free public event relevant to his or her discipline, through readings, exhibitions, performances, and master classes. Nine Fellowship honorable mention awards of $500 were also awarded.
