What is it that makes a community livable and vibrant? An understanding that place matters! Five years ago, the Arts @ the Heart Convening was created to support Nevada's cultural leadership to champion a vision that invests in people and the places they live. At the 2013 Arts @ the Heart Convening (A@H), we'll consider the attributes of vibrant communities, the role of artists as civic animators, and local renewal and growth through community engagement.

Registration

Space is very limited and early registration is highly recommended. Registration costs for A@H is $65 per person and includes all conference materials, Monday pre-conference activities, and lunch on Tuesday. Please note: There is no discount to registration fee if you attend only Tuesday activities. We encourage you to send more than one person from your organization to attend A@H. Each attendee must fill out a separate registration form. Registrations received are considered firm. Refunds are not available.

Lodging

The riverfront boutique-style Siena Hotel Spa Casino is walking distance from Reno’s Arts and Culture District and across the street from the National Automobile Museum, our host for Monday night’s reception. The Siena Hotel is offering room rates of $49/king and $59/deluxe king a night plus tax. Reservations must be made by April 8, 2013. Professional Development Grants

PDG grants of up to $350 are available to attend A@H. To be eligible for a PDG for A@H, applicants must live at least 50 miles from the conference site (traveling 100 miles or more round-trip). Note: The A@H registration cost of $65 cannot be covered with PDG funds. To read more about applying for a PDG - Click here.
