2016 JACKPOT GRANT RECIPIENTS

Jackpot Quarterly Grants of up to $1,000 are designed to support first-time or sudden opportunity arts and arts learning/education projects initiated by artists, teaching artists, schools, nonprofit organizations and public institutions.


FOURTH QUARTER

Couper, Matthew Las Vegas $1,000.00 To support the artist’s resdiency at Arquetopia in Puebla, Mexico to research and create "ex-voto" narrative paintings. May 9-June 6, 2016.

Lardent, Maxim Henderson $868.00 To support the production of the first annual Downtown Las Vegas Improv festival.
Mile High Jazz Band Carson City $1000.00 To support an extensive Jazz residency for the community’s middle and high school instrumental music students, including classes, workshops and performances.
Somerset Academy SkyPointe Las Vegas $750.00 To support the ukulele program in the school by the purchase of ukulele kits for the school’s “Men’s Choir.”
Young, L. Martina Reno $1000.00 To support printing 200 copies of the grantee’s third iteration of SWAN: a poetical inquiry in dance, text & memoir.
